Bart Scott dropped by CBS Sports Radio’s Gio and Jones for his weekly spot on Friday, and, in addition to giving his thoughts on various players and teams from around the league, he shared a hilarious story about an on-field altercation with Reggie Bush.

“So we’re playing New Orleans,” Scott began. “They were supposed to be big stuff. We went down there with the Ravens. That’s when they were doing that read-screen where they pretty much run . . . an illegal pick (with Bush).’”

Only the Ravens were prepared to stop it. Forcefully.

“We light his ass up,” Scott said. “We get an interception. I got a man-to-man on the back side. I’m kind of jogging because the interception is on the other sideline and we’re on the whole other sideline. So I’m jogging, I get hit in the back and I fall on the ground. Then I try and get up and somebody (pushed me) back down. I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ So you gather all your strength and you jump up.”

Scott turned around. It was Bush.

“So I go to the sideline,” Scott continues. “Everybody’s laughing because we’re winning by like 24 points in the first half. I say, ‘Rex, call cover one.’ He’s like, ‘Man, what’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘Call cover one!’ He’s like, ‘Man, this dude is tripping.’”

So Rex Ryan called cover one.

“So I got Reggie Bush no matter where he go,” Scott explained. “So I’m chasing him around and I’m punching and chasing him. And then he starts running like, ‘Hey, Ray! Hey, Ray! Get your boy. He’s crazy.’”

Ray Lewis asked Scott what was going on, but Scott didn’t care. His sole focus was hitting Bush.

“He’s literally running in circles after the play,” Scott said. “I’m chasing him after the play. He’s running.”

At one point, Scott got ahold of Bush and gator-rolled him. Bush left the game with an injury.

“He tapped out like a little sucker,” Scott said. “Then he goes to the media like, ‘Bart Scott tried to hit me.’ So they had this whole investigation (about whether) I purposefully hurt (Reggie).”

But the story doesn’t end there.

“The funny part is I went down (for the) Pro Bowl and I went down to the Nike suite, and I see him. He ran,” Scott recalled. “I said, ‘What the hell? Ain’t nobody about to mess with you.’ I’m like, ‘Bro, we good, man. I ain’t mad no more.’”
