The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Friday that Joey Porter will be on the sideline when they play Kansas City this Sunday. Porter, 39, was arrested in Pittsburgh last weekend and faced charges of aggravated assault and simple assault, which were dropped.

Porter played for the Steelers from 1999-2006 and has been on staff since 2014.

“It’ll be good to have Joey around,” Steelers guard Ramon Foster said on CBS Sports Radio’s Gio and Jones. “We know this league. You guys know this league. It’s a league of second chances. That situation with Joey is going to be handled by Coach Tomlin and the Rooneys, but he’s the guy that we all love. We know Joey. You guys know Joey. It’ll be good to have him around.”

The Steelers will need all hands on deck to beat the Chiefs on Sunday. Granted, Pittsburgh embarrassed Kansas City, 43-14, in Week 4, but the playoffs are a different animal. The game is also at Arrowhead this time around, not Heinz Field.

Foster believes that Ben Roethlisberger, who injured his foot in a 30-12 Wild Card win over the Dolphins last weekend, will be ready to roll this Sunday. Roethlisberger will almost certainly still be in pain, but he’ll be on the field.

“I thought he’s looked fine (at practice), but I truly don’t know how he’s feeling,” Foster said. “Ben’s one of those guys that, really, he’s a gamer. It doesn’t matter if we’re playing basketball in the locker room or if we’re at his house playing a card game. We ended up playing spades a few weeks ago, and maybe he knew how to play, but he really finessed the heck out of everybody else. We won against Maurkice (Pouncey) and Le’Veon (Bell). He’s a guy that’s just a winner. If you put him in a situation where he has a chance, he’s going to make it happen.”

Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m. ET.
